Save on labor with fast, flexible delivery

Water-delivered medications require less time and labor by eliminating time spent preparing and giving injections. This time savings leads to reduced treatment costs.

Water-soluble medications also save time and minimize pig and caregiver stress because husbandry techs are not handling the pigs individually. Pigs stay calm, and continue drinking, eating and growing.

Our water solubles come in convenient package sizes, making it fast and easy for one caregiver to move the product, mix the medication and deliver it through the pig’s regular visit to the waterer.

Discover how one husbandry tech can medicate a pen or an entire barn quickly and effectively with these mixing tips.

Effective treatments, flexible protocols

Water-soluble medications provide reliable intake when infected pigs need it most. Sick pigs generally eat less feed, but they tend to keep drinking. Pigs consume twice as much water as they do feed, making water the ideal channel for delivering medications.

Once consumed, water-soluble products go to work rapidly, letting your pigs get back to growing and gaining efficiently. Water-soluble antibiotics can simultaneously treat multiple pathogens, including ileitis and pathogens leading to swine respiratory disease or secondary infections in the case of a viral outbreak. One form of delivery can effectively reduce the risk of mortality in case of a viral outbreak.

Aivlosin WSG® (62.5% w/w Tylvalosin as Tylvalosin Tartrate), Pennchlor 64® (chlortetracycline HCl) and Pennox 343® (oxytetracycline HCl) feature a zero-day withdrawal in swine for U.S. markets. This eliminates time spent on detailed recordkeeping and gives you flexibility with your protocols.

Responsible, safe antibiotic use

Our products have low inclusion rates while maintaining maximum effectiveness. A little goes a long way. They support judicious use by minimizing the need for re-treatment.

Water-soluble products eliminate the need for injections, reducing injection-site lesions on carcasses and increasing caretaker and pig safety by eliminating accidental needle sticks.

Return on investment

Our water-soluble medications return efficiency in labor use, pig health and well-being, husbandry tech and pig safety for a low per-pig price.

For example, Aivlosin Water-Soluble Granules costs three times less per pig than Pulmotil® and provides a broader coverage of pathogens.

By controlling pathogens such as Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, you can reduce the risk of swine respiratory disease (SRD) complexes, which have historically caused major losses to the pork production industry. Healthy lungs at a lower cost per pig leads to better profits and improved peace of mind.

Water-soluble medications can save you time and money by reducing stress on animals and caretakers and letting pigs and people do their jobs more efficiently.
