Colin Gray grew up in challenging conditions in Athy, Ireland, sharing a one-bathroom house with his parents and seven siblings. Despite those humble beginnings, he excelled as an up-and-coming soccer player. In 1982, Colin came to the U.S. to continue his professional soccer career in Boston, only to be forced into early retirement through injuries. Through a chance meeting, while golfing in late 2000 with the then President of Alpharma Animal Health, Colin was offered a directorship role to assist in integrating the Roche animal health product line into the Alpharma portfolio. Colin quickly rose through the ranks to become VP of Global Supply Chain and became a key member of the leadership team.

In 2008, Colin founded Pharmgate, beginning the journey to create a company with his vision of end-to-end supply chain quality, animal welfare solutions, and fair pricing. Pharmgate grew quickly through strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and hard work. Their double-digit growth continues today , driven  by efforts to broaden their portfolio offerings to livestock producers in the U.S. and across the globe. Colin has always believed in the power of risk, reward, and perseverance, and he is grateful for the journey that led   Pharmgate to where it is today.
